I want to use ncloth to destroy things in maya but then i i want the pieces to be not flat but 3d when it gets destroyed so the overall question is how to fill an object in maya make it a a solid because when you just make an object it s still hollow inside and when it gets destroyed the poises are justs all flat so i want to make it 3d.

This works the same as the scale setting.
The object will fall assuming you haven t messed with gravity until it comes to rest naturally on the floor.
